Balloon Creatures/Creations on Main Street with Balloon artist Gary Boothe from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Merchant Sidewalk Sales in downtown with great bargains and super shopping starting at 9 a.m.

Pets & People Costume Parade starts at 2 p.m. Line up at GRECC Bagby Park at 1:45

Corn Hole Tourney by Carter County Drug Taskforce starts at 11 a.m. at the Justice Center parking lot Hord & Main Street; Prizes for first, second and third place teams. Registration begins at 10 a.m. (No fee)

KDMC Health Screenings corner of Main and Hord Streets from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (No fee)

Curves 2K Fun WALK with registration near Boggs Hardware at 8-10 a.m. Walk begins at 10 a.m. for 2 miles around KCU and back (Donation Registration goes to Carter County CARES Kids Backpack food program)

Funtober Fest T-Shirt sales at Gazebo; Pre-sale at certain merchants-announced later

Pumpkin Painting Contest hosted by Carter Christian Academy between Globel Tanning and Brown's Mobile Home Sales on Main Street. (No fee)

Big Chili Blowout Tame or Flame Contest--cooking starts at 9 a.m.--ready to serve at 11:30 a.m. with judging at noon . Three  Sample servings with a drink and sandwich for $5.00 to be sold with proceeds going to Carter County CARES--- trophies awarded for first, second, third, people's choice and best display area. (Team Registration Fee:  $30) Teams need to register by Sept. 29. (flyer below)

Kids Old Fashion Games from 11 a.m. - noon on North Hord Street (no fee)

Contest winners announced at the Gazebo about 2:30 p.m. following the parade

Fall Photo Shoot by Crystal Abbott between Gazebo and Vet's Park fence (no fee)

Holy Rollers Motorcycle Show---Registration (fee to enter) from 10-noon; judging at 1 p.m.; awards given at 2:30 p.m. located at the Slone's Signature Market parking lot corner of Main and Carol Malone Blvd.

Carter County Extension Services Pie and Dessert Contest on sidewalk in front of Robin Webb office on South Hord Street across from the Gazebo with entries at noon judging at 1 p.m. Ribbons for first, second and third place in each category.  (No fee; flyer below)

HandCraft Fair located on Pomeroy Street between Main and Second Street (Registration to sell fee $20; flyer below)

Treat Bags for parade participants sponsored by GRECC and Grayson Area Chamber following parade.

Come Meet the Alpacas!  A cute animal that is related to the llama.  Handcraft items made from their fleece will be for sale.  Holifield Alpaca Farm ---Location pending.

Prize Give-A-Way----Cash of First at $100; Second at $75; and Third at $50 as well as Merchants Big Gift Basket full of items donated by merchants.   Tickets for prizes will be given to customers when purchases of $20 or more at participating businesses prior to Saturday, October 2.---Watch participating merchant's list!
